Why a Retreat For Nurses

Why a Retreat for Nurses?

Nursing is deeply meaningful work — but it also asks a lot of you. Long shifts, emotional intensity, physical demands, and the responsibility of caring for others can make it difficult to prioritize your own wellbeing. Many nurses share that traditional conferences don’t always provide the kind of space needed to truly recharge.

Retreats offer something different. They create an environment where professional development happens alongside restoration. The learning feels relevant and applicable, while the setting allows your nervous system to slow down. When you step away from daily responsibilities, even briefly, you create space to reflect, reconnect with why you chose this profession, and return with tools that support both your career and your personal wellbeing.

Meet Your Retreat Facilitators

Kristen Stewart, RN and Ari Rasori RN, NP are especially excited to host this retreat together and to hold space specifically for nurses in an intentional Mexico setting that welcomes rest, rejuvenation, connection, and a bit of adventure along the way. Together, they will be teaching on topics related to wellness in wilderness medicine — exploring how time outdoors, movement, reflection, and practical tools can support long-term resilience both personally and professionally.
