Why Partners Choose This Model Over Building It Themselves
Most education organizations that explore travel-based CME hit the same wall: the curriculum is the easy part. However, sourcing vetted accommodations in Kenya, coordinating altitude protocols in Peru, negotiating guide contracts in Bhutan, and building emergency response plans for a group of physicians on three continents is an entirely different business… one that takes years of in-country relationships to do safely and well.
Building that operational capability in-house typically means hiring dedicated travel staff, absorbing significant liability, and spending 12 to 18 months developing vendor networks before a single program can launch. Instead, MedTreks compresses that timeline to weeks, because the infrastructure already exists.
You are not adding a department. You are adding a revenue line.
Built for the Way Medical Professionals Actually Travel
Physicians, surgeons, and specialty clinicians don’t travel like typical conference attendees. They want substance alongside the experience, not in place of it. Groups capped at 8 to 18 keep every cohort intimate enough for real faculty access and meaningful peer connection — closer to a working retreat than a tour bus itinerary.
Across 20+ destinations, each program is built with the educational goals, specialty focus, and travel experience in mind. The destination is not simply a backdrop. It helps shape the learning environment, whether the focus is wilderness medicine, global health, wellness, leadership, or specialty-specific CME.
The Math Behind a Premium Program
Depending on the type of trip and the size of the group, partner commissions can be several thousand dollars from a single program, with zero collection risk and zero upfront operational cost beyond a one-time design deposit.

How It Works
Step 1: Co-Design the Program
We work with your team to map your CME curriculum to a destination and itinerary. Your content, your credits, your brand identity throughout: from the opening session to the final debrief.
Step 2: We Handle All Logistics
We coordinate accommodations, local guides, ground transportation, guest communications, dietary needs, safety planning, and on-trip support.
Step 3: Your Healthcare Professionals Experience It
Participants join a 5–10 day educational travel experience where CME sessions are integrated into the destination and itinerary.
Step 4: Credits Are Delivered Under Your Accreditation
Your organization remains responsible for accreditation and credit issuance. MedTreks supports the travel experience and guest logistics.a

Partnership inquiries typically receive a response within 2 to 3 business days. From there, our team will schedule a 30-minute discovery call to learn more about your curriculum goals, accreditation structure, faculty, learner audience, and ideal destination or program format.
After the call, MedTreks can then recommend potential destinations, trip styles, and partnership structures that align with your educational goals.

Partner Program FAQ
What makes MedTreks different from other CME travel providers? MedTreks builds every itinerary around your curriculum first, rather than adding education as an afterthought. For example, we pair a high-altitude physiology module with the Andes, while wilderness medicine pairs naturally with Patagonia. In this way, the destination becomes part of the lesson plan, not a backdrop behind it.
What do we keep ownership of as the education partner? You keep everything that makes it yours: your brand, your curriculum, your faculty, and your accreditation. In addition, MedTreks never touches credit issuance or regulatory filings, and only appears as the logistics partner with your prior written approval.
Do we have to collect money from participants? No. Instead, MedTreks collects every participant payment directly, start to finish. As a result, you are never responsible for billing, refunds, or holding funds.
How do we earn money from a MedTreks program? You earn a 10% commission on every participant who registers through your unique referral link, paid within 30 days of program completion. On a 12-person program at $8,500 per person, that’s roughly $10,200 — with zero collection risk on your end.
What is our financial exposure if we partner with MedTreks? Your maximum exposure is a one-time design deposit of $750, or $2,250 if you opt into the optional marketing package. There’s no launch deposit and no ongoing financial commitment tied to enrollment.
What happens if a program doesn’t get enough participants? Every program requires a minimum of 8 confirmed participants, checked 120 days before departure. If the minimum isn’t met, participants receive a full refund and the program is cancelled at no further cost to you.
How many participants does a typical program need? MedTreks programs run with 8 to 18 participants — small enough to keep direct faculty access and real peer connection, large enough to make the logistics work.
Which destinations can we choose from? We offer 20+ destinations across South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Each destination is paired with specific clinical or experiential relevance for your specialty.
