Certifications show that you’re qualified to perform the specified duties required for a particular position. Wilderness medicine certifications show that you are qualified to save lives in the backcountry!

There are 3 different certifications classes that you can take with MedTreks, each tailored to a specific need and pre-existing knowledge.

1. If you are an existing medical professional, the WLS:MP course takes your skills and applies it to the outdoors. This class is eligible for CME credit and a 4 year certification.
2. If you are an outdoor enthusiast looking to be safer in the oudoors, the WFA course is designed to broadly cover life-saving skills that can be used anywhere. This class is eligible for a 2 year certication.
3. If you are an outdoor professional looking to guide yourself or others in the outdoors, the WFR course is designed to do a more in-depth study into medical injuries and illnesses, assessment, and treatment options. This class is eligible for a 2 year certication, followed by a 1 year grace period to recertify. Or, if already have a WFR, you can recertify with MedTreks!
