Many of our trips are special destinations that may not repeat every year. So, this makes each experience truly special and time-sensitive for those who want to join.

What types of CME credits can I earn on a MedTreks trip?

All of our CME is accredited for Category 1 CME through ACCME. Nurses can also get CEs through our courses as MedTreks is a licensed CE provider through the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Beyond accreditation, our programs are engaging, relevant, and designed to connect classroom learning to real-world adventure experiences.

Who are the MedTreks Faculty?

MedTreks CME Adventure Travel faculty are experienced clinicians, educators, and wellness professionals. They all bring decades of teaching and travel experience to every program.

Our team includes physicians, nurses, PAs, NPs, and global health educators, alongside wellness coaches, yoga instructors, and mindfulness experts.

From there, each faculty member shares a deep commitment to hands-on learning, cultural exchange, and building a stronger global health community.

Also, our faculty lead CME sessions, facilitate workshops, and guide outdoor adventures. Their focus is on practical medicine, leadership, and personal well-being.

This dynamic mix of medical and wellness expertise ensures every trip is both educational and restorative.

Who are MedTreks trips designed for?

Our boutique CME adventures are designed for medical professionals: physicians, nurses, PAs, NPs, EMTs, and allied health staff, as well as their families, friends, and colleagues.

Similarly, each trip welcomes both medical and non-medical participants, creating a community of travelers who share a love for exploration and lifelong learning.

When someone books a trip, we want to make sure they know it was designed with their comfort in mind!

What are your accommodations like?

Our accommodations are always at least 4-star, selected for comfort, character, and a sense of place. We also prioritize nutritious, gourmet, and authentic meals. Why? Because we genuinely love good food and believe it’s an essential part of travel.

Can I bring a guest who isn’t in the medical field?

Yes! Many participants bring partners, friends, or family members who simply want to experience the destination without attending CME sessions.

And to make the expereince even better, Guests are invited to join all non-academic excursions and cultural activities. Truly, this ensures a memorable journey for everyone.

What is Wilderness Medicine CME?

Wilderness Medicine CME combines classroom learning with hands-on medical training in outdoor and remote environments.

MedTreks courses teach skills such as field assessment, evacuation planning, and environmental medicine, all within some of the world’s most stunning landscapes and premiere accommodations.

Does MedTreks offer CME trips in the Galápagos?

Yes. MedTreks offers a premiere Galápagos Private Yacht Cruise one of our most sought-after experiences.

Participants spend a week aboard a private yacht, exploring multiple islands, snorkeling with sea lions, hiking volcanic terrain, and earning CME credits through dynamic faculty-led discussions.

How big are MedTreks groups?

MedTreks limits each group to approximately 10 to 16 participants to foster an intimate and close-knit environment.
